Micromedex Drug Reference App Reviews

This is by far the worst update ever. What is the purpose of having an app on my moblie device if said device needs to be connected to wifi in order to update before I can use it. I am very disappointed.

Updating every time you open the app and having to be on wifi to do that defeats the purpose of a quick convenient reference. I no longer use micromedex and just check back periodically to see if they have fixed this.

The app will not open unless you connect to wifi... Everyday. Also the app claims you can use it as is, with the current content but tapping retry to proceed get you now where.

This used to be a great app until the recent update that wont launch until new content is loaded EACH TIME YOU CLICK THE APP! If you are not in WiFi, the app will not launch. Even if you are in WiFi, it takes forever to load new content. Why does it need to do this EVERY time app is clicked even if content was just updated in past minute and app was not closed? Are they trying to get people to delete the free version? If so, its working!

Every time I open app, it needs to update. Then I turn off wifi & data, & the alert says I can continue to use current data until it updates but only gives option to retry downloading data. So app basically becomes unusable. Trash.

Still the best drug info app ever!!!! They fixed the bug, just need to reinstall!!!

This is best drug app, thanks for fixing that update problem! Excellent app!

Horrible decision by the developers. I cant use it at all, and wont try until its been resolved.

As others stated, this update requiring wifi makes this app completely useless at work. Switching to a competitor until this is fixed.

Always requiring me to update

The app was already slow and Janky, but now it demands to update every time I open it! Half the time it wont complete, and it does not let me open it up. I dont need a drug update every 20 minutes. Medicine moves fast, but not that fast.

Absolutely destroyed the app. Basically it is unusable now. Need wifi to use and updates multiple times per use. I used to use this as a quick reference but now there is nothing quick about it.

It requires update everytime I open the app. Need a fix.

Thank to some of the users here. The way to get rid of that annoying updates and wifi required for using this app is to uninstall and then reinstall. It will ask you to enter the password again but now I can finally use this app again!

Wifi update. Wifi update. Wifi update.... Every time you open it.

Needing to be on wifi for update before being able to use each time is a not needed and has interfered with pt care.

Got new device and forgot password. No password reset function. You have to fill in all these boxes with info then wait for a response within 3-5 days. Then a generated response is sent to you which doesnt even work!

Waste of money

This app used to work fine and just require you to re-enter your mobile facility password infrequently but apparently an update has created a bug where it is CONSTANTLY requiring me to reenter the password. It is massively annoying when I am trying to work. I consider this bug to have rendered this app virtually nonfunctional. They need to fix ASAP before everyone deletes it. I have an iPhone 5s if that matters.

Always needs to reload and always requires password. Not a simple, quick, go-to drug app by any means.
